From Trash to Treasure 

 

My intention was to create an organic form with different elements such as the consecutive movement, the rhythm, and the vibration by using multiple materials. The consecutive movement can be appreciated in the juxtaposition of each piece of wood. 

The second element is rhythm, which is implement by repeating each element with intervals between them to establish a spiral pattern. The last element is vibration. This last element looks very subtle in the highlights of every fishing line.  

 The main reasons why we chose to work with these elements is to show that art is functional in the studies of form; therefore, this artwork managed the study of forms as interaction of shadows within the space.
